For Zandra Bornhauser, strength isn’t about making fitness your entire life. It’s about building a body that lets you live it.
A former collegiate athlete and personal trainer, Zandra has spent years around fitness. Today, she’s also a full-time working mom of two, two years postpartum, and figuring out what movement looks like in this chapter of her life.
Her goal these days? To feel strong, capable, and like herself again.
As Zandra puts it, she wants to be strong enough to “carry the groceries in one trip and keep up with my kids as long as they’ll play with me.”
And honestly, we love that definition of strength.
Finding Strength in a New Season
Movement has always been part of Zandra’s life, but the way it fits into her day has evolved.
These days, you’ll often find her getting a workout in at 5:30 AM before the rest of the day gets going. Weightlifting is her favorite way to move, but running, everyday activity, and keeping up with her two girls are all part of the equation.
She isn’t chasing perfection. She’s building consistency.
That perspective is especially important as she navigates motherhood, work, and finding her rhythm again postpartum. Fitness doesn’t have to look exactly the way it did during her collegiate-athlete years to matter.
Movement for Every Body
That’s also part of what Movement for Every Body means to Zandra.
She believes everyone deserves the opportunity to become the strongest version of themselves, whatever that version looks like for them.
There isn’t one right way to move. There isn’t one type of person who belongs in fitness. And sometimes, making movement more approachable starts with removing the little barriers and frustrations that make it harder than it needs to be.
For Zandra, that philosophy extends beyond her own workouts. She hopes to encourage other busy moms, especially those who may be at the beginning of their fitness journey or feeling intimidated by getting started.
Where BraClaw Comes In
There is, of course, one part of a good workout that Zandra could happily do without: wrestling with a tight, sweaty sports bra afterward.
That familiar post-workout struggle is what made BraClaw immediately relevant to her routine.
Whether she’s training at home, heading to the gym, or traveling, BraClaw gives her a simple tool to make the transition out of workout mode a little easier.
Because as Zandra says, “A sweaty sports bra shouldn’t get in the way of that.”
We couldn’t agree more.
BraClaw was created around the idea that something as ordinary as changing out of your workout clothes shouldn’t require an unnecessary fight. Different bodies move differently, different routines require different solutions, and a small tool can make a surprisingly frustrating moment easier.
Consistency Over Perfection
If there’s one idea that captures Zandra’s approach to movement, motherhood, and everything in between, it’s this:
“Consistency over perfection. Keep showing up in small instances each day and watch the results happen.”
It’s advice that applies whether you’re returning to fitness, trying something completely new, training toward a big goal, or simply finding more ways to move throughout your day.
And it’s exactly the kind of perspective we want represented in the Claw Crew.
