Movement, Confidence, and Taking Up Space
For Erica Cervantez, movement has become about much more than working out.
The Sacramento-based mom of two is an empowerment photographer, certified sound healing practitioner, founder of Soul Care Healing, runner, strength-training fan, and someone who believes women deserve to feel confident taking up space exactly as they are.
After a recent health scare, health, wellness, and movement became a much bigger priority in her life.
Today, she is training for her first 10K, building strength, balancing motherhood and work, and learning just how much she is capable of.
Moving Because You’re Worth the Time
Erica’s routine is a mix of running, strength training, mobility, rest, hydration, sleep, and making time for herself inside a very full life.
She loves a good leg day, especially now that she is training for a 10K, and she is already thinking about what might come next. A half marathon may be waiting in the wings.
But the bigger shift has been in why she moves.
For Erica, movement is not about earning food, changing her body before she is allowed to enjoy it, or fitting someone else’s definition of fitness. It is about feeling strong, capable, confident, and reminding herself that she is worth making time for.
Movement for Every Body
Erica’s definition of Movement for Every Body is direct: everyone deserves to feel welcome, capable, and comfortable moving their body, regardless of size, shape, age, ability, or fitness level.
There is no required pace. No required body type. No single correct version of movement.
Running counts. Walking counts. Strength training counts. Dancing counts. Starting with five minutes counts.
As Erica says, “You don’t have to change your body before you’re allowed to enjoy it.”
That idea is especially meaningful to her as a plus-size woman building a deeper relationship with running and movement. Accessibility, to Erica, is about making room for different bodies, different abilities, and different ways of participating.
Sometimes the most important modification is simply finding the version that works for you.
When the Sports Bra Becomes the Second Workout
As Erica has gotten more into running and training, sports bras have become a regular part of life.
So has the struggle of getting out of one afterward.
In her words, getting out of a sweaty sports bra can feel like “a whole second workout.” There is twisting, pulling, compression, sweat, and sometimes limited range of motion all working against you at once.
That is what made BraClaw immediately relevant to her.
She sees it fitting naturally after workouts and runs, especially when she is tired, sweaty, and ready to change without wrestling with her clothes.
She also sees a much broader accessibility story in the product, from plus-size women and people in bigger bodies to anyone with limited range of motion who could use a little help making the process easier.
Accessibility Is Part of the Point
That connection is one of the things Erica is most excited to explore as part of the Claw Crew.
She wants to create a mix of lifestyle content, workouts, humor, and education, with a particular interest in accessibility and showing how simple tools can help different people move through everyday routines more comfortably.
That fits naturally with the work she already does.
Through photography, Soul Care Healing, sound baths, and women’s circles, Erica creates spaces intended to help women feel seen, supported, and empowered. Her approach to movement comes from the same place.
It is not about asking people to become someone else before they belong.
It is about helping them feel more at home in the body they already have.

Welcome to the Claw Crew, Erica
Erica’s advice is simple: everyone can move. Find what you like, find what feels comfortable, and modify when you need to.
There is room for every pace, every body, and every starting point.
We’re especially excited to have Erica bring that perspective to the Claw Crew as she trains for her 10K, shares the very real side of active life, and reminds more women that making things easier does not make the movement count any less.
And we have to say, being her first brand deal makes this one feel pretty special to us too. 🧡
